Owen Shaw
We The People Judge, Former Competitor
Owen Shaw was a member of the Centennial (Bakersfield) High We the People Team, class of 2000. Owen is currently a freelance software developer in the Bay Area. He has continued his involvement with We the People in California by serving as a judge at regional, state and national competitions. He has also provided financial support for our state program. This year California We the People is happy to announce that an annual award for civic service will be given in Owen’s honor. The first recipients were honored at the state finals in February. Each recipient received a KIVA gift card to “pay forward” our commitment to service around the world. California We the People continues to have a strong, committed group of alumni who help our students succeed.
